Turn on 4TH ST SW[US-278] - go 1.6 mi
Turn to follow US-278 EAST - go 19.4 mi
Turn on US-231 - go 19.1 mi
Turn on MT EBELL CL RD - go 0.5 mi
Continue on EBELL RD - go 1.1 mi
Turn on PALISADES PKY - go 0.1 mi
Arrive at 1225 PALISADES PKWY, ONEONTA, on the
From B'ham: I-59 N to exit 166. N on 231 to Oneonta and follow signs

What to expect: Free, open 9-5 winter 9-9 summer, bathrooms
Playground, hiking trails, picnic area, rock climbing, 1820 village, aboretum, great views, overlooks into the valleys on the southeast and northwest sides.
No camping, pets allowed on leash, short and steep drive to park.

There are ledges and drop-offs.

Fire Tower-no longer used, unsafe to climb.

1820's village has been relocated to the park, there is a barn, some houses, a school and other buildings right next to the small playground.

There are a few good hiking trails, but the area is known for rock climbing.
