HOME

If only I could say the drive home was uneventful..
Nothing bad happened, no car trouble or anything, it just took a LONG time and getting off the correct road (again) did nothing to shorten the trip.
I did not get in the water at all on the Solstice, I DID wash my hair in the sink of the Whistle Stop Cafe in Dillsboro because the showers at the KOA were so terrible.

Dillsboro was also the home of the Chocolate Factory, the Dog Bakery and an Internet Cafe.
I want to move to Dillsboro.

I did not get in the water the whole day, but we did go to Mingo Falls after we left the cabin:

Then we went to Dillsboro, N.C. for lunch and stopped in at the chocolate factory:

Ben is MY child, he is very dubious about the whole 'dark' chocolate thing.
But, he ate it!

Coconut, Cheesecake, Rocky Road and (not shown due to "been eaten" issues) Cookies and Cream.

Back on the road, we drove through the Nantahala River Gorge and saw the people rafting.
We skirted the Hiwassee Lake on Joe Brown Highway for miles and miles (not planned) and crossed the Hiwassee Dam.
We stopped at the Ocoee Whitewater Center:

The statue is from a single redwood.

Cherokee was doing black bears all across the town, we did not get 1/4 of what they had out.
